Today, representatives from the All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC) Haryana met with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana to advocate for December 25, 2024, to be declared a under, NI Act, to bankers in recognition of Christmas.
The delegation included Com. Harvinder Singh (DGS – SBI Officer Association ), Com. Vinay Kumar ( President), Com. Prem Pawar (Zonal Treasurer), and Vikas Kumar (ZCM). They emphasized the cultural and emotional significance of Christmas for bank employees and their families, highlighting that many states across India already observe this holiday, promoting inclusivity and goodwill.
“Christmas is a time for celebration and togetherness,*” stated Com. Harvinder Singh. “Recognizing this occasion with a public holiday would honor the contributions of bankers and enhance their morale.”*
The AIBOC remains optimistic about a positive response and is committed to advocating for the welfare of bankers, ensuring that their voices are heard at the highest levels of government.
