Today, in the General Body Meeting organized by Chandigarh Circle Unit of Punjab National Bank Officers Association, General Secretary of the Unit, Comrade Ashok Goyal ji was given a fond farewell on his retirement. More than 500 officers across tricity participated in it. Comrade Goyal was associated with the Association for the last many years. Apart from being the General Secretary of Chandigarh Circle Unit, he has also been the Deputy General Secretary of All India Punjab National Bank Officers Association and State Secretary of AIBOC.
com. In today’s farewell ceremony organized for Goyal, General Secretary of All India Punjab National Bank Officers Association, Com. Dilip Saha ji, President Com. Shrikumar ji and presidents and general secretaries of all circle units across India were present.
com. This farewell ceremony of Goyal was organized in the auditorium of GMCH located in Sector 32, Chandigarh. In the year 2017, Comrade Goyal was elected as the Circle Secretary of Chandigarh Unit for the first time. After that, in the year 2018, he took over the responsibility of All India Vice President and Deputy General Secretary and State President of Kolkata AIBOC. In the year 2019, he was appointed Secretary of Chandigarh Unit and also made Joint General Secretary of AIBOC. After this, in the year 2022, Comrade Goyal was elected AIPNBOA Deputy General Secretary, All India PNB Officers Association and Joint General Secretary of AIBOC. In the elections of the year 2022, the elected as Deputy General Secretary of All India PNB Officers Association.
com. Goyal devoted his entire life to the work of the organization and to upholding the interests of the staff. Many times he used to talk directly to the management to fight for the interests of the staff and due to his clear arguments many times the management had to bow before the organization. It is only because of Comrade Goyal’s leadership that the growth of the association has been possible and he has succeeded in keeping all the members united with the organization.
